With six semesters total standard period of study the program “Bachelor of Arts in Sport Science” is offered by the Saarland University. During the practical and theoretical courses the focus falls on basic skills in the sub-disciplines of sports science where students deal with topics such as the biological foundations of human movement and physical performance, sports medicine issues and the sub-disciplines of sports education, psychology and sociology. Students learn the basics of training science and training methods in order to be able to teach a wide variety of sports in a target-oriented and target-oriented manner while acquiring methodical-didactic competences for the mediation of movement, play and sport.
