The degree program “Master of Arts in Translation Science and Technology” provided by the Saarland University is with a total length of four semesters. The focus of the program falls particularly on new methodologies in language technology and empirical research. Students obtain intensive training in the research methods currently used in empirical language and translation science. Imparted core areas of the course are general linguistics, corpus linguistics and computer linguistics as well as specific sciences such as linguistics students also acquire technological knowledge and skills in text production, translation and evaluation in a situational and cultural context, technical communication, knowledge management, terminology teaching, translation and more.
