The “Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics” program at Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences is interdisciplinary, building on the knowledge of computer science and combining it with economics. Over the course of 6 full-time semesters, students are taught how to deal with information and communication systems that are used to support business processes. Mathematics, Statistics, Introduction to business informatics, Business administration, Procedural programming, Data structures and algorithms, Accounting, Introduction to IT and business law, Computer networks, Software engineering and other subjects are taught. As part of the admission requirements, candidates must present a general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification. Graduates are able to work in industry, trade, software houses, banks and insurance companies, in public administration, management consultancies and more.
