The distance learning program “Bachelor of Laws in Business Law” at Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 6-8 part-time semesters. The nature of the degree allows students to obtain practical skills in work placements while studying. Basics of law, Introduction to Economics, Bookkeeping and accounting, Private Business Law, Constitutional and European law, Labor and Social Law, Quality management, IT and project management and other subjects are part of the course curriculum. Candidates are required to present a university entrance qualification, or at least two years of vocational training and at least three years of full-time professional experience if they do not have a qualification. Graduates can occupy a number of positions in the legal field.
