The “Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology” program at Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences has a length of 7 full-time semesters. The degree has five specialization options - automation technology, electrical power engineering, vehicle electronics, embedded systems and information technology. Basics of electrical engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer science, Technical mechanics and materials, Electrical measurement technology and other subjects are included in the course curriculum. In order to be admitted to the electrical engineering course, a general university entrance qualification, technical college entrance qualification, subject-related university entrance qualification, successfully passed master's examination or a successfully completed course to become a state-certified technician or business economist is required. Graduates are able to pursue a career in a variety of fields, depending on their specialization.
