The “Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering” program at South Westphalia University of Applied Sciences Iserlohn at the Meschede campus is with a typical length of 6 semesters. A basic course, an orientation phase, and an in-depth phase make up the course. While the modules in the basic course are required for all students, the other two stages offer options. An essential aspect of the course, which, like the final bachelor thesis, is often created in collaboration with a company, is project work, which is characterized by a high level of application and practical relevance. Basics of electrical engineering, Physics, Informatics, Engineering Mathematics and other subjects are part of the curriculum. Electrical engineers work in mechanical and plant engineering firms, process engineering, electrical engineering and electronics firms, the automobile and aviation industries, automation technology and robotics firms, and more, depending on their specialization.
