The study course “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” offered by SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences prepares student how face challenging situations and support people in difficult and different situations. This program is in full-time form and it is studied in German. The seven semesters of study provide all the necessary practical and theoretical skills in social justice, human rights, respect for diversity and more. Graduates are prepared to start work in both public and private sector in the fields of Child and youth welfare, Social work at schools or day care centers, Accompanying people with disabilities, Refugee aid, Street work, Drug counseling, Family counseling and more. In the program there are subjects like Introduction to social work, professionalization of social work and its fields of action, project management, classification of fields of action in practice, basics of psychology, and more.
