The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work - Dual” provided by SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences provides know-how in social science to students seeking to support people in challenging situations. This course can be studied parallel with another degree in this or different university, and it is in German. During the seven semesters students can directly apply their new skills by alternating between theory and practical phases. Graduates are greatly prepared for a career both in private and public sectors in the fields of Refugee aid, Street work, Drug counselling, Family counselling, Assisted living, Youth welfare services, Corporate social work and more. Some of the subjects are Fields of action of social work, specific legal bases, organizational forms, social law, value-related and ethical examination of social problems and their implementation in administrative action, practical phase: legal and economic bases of fields of action and organizational forms of social work and others.
