Description
With a duration of eight semesters the “Bachelor of Music in Choral Conducting” is provided by the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. The program is developing and consolidating the important aspects of conducting technique, especially in the areas of percussion and rehearsal technique, evidenced by conducting choral works. Graduates obtain basic sight reading skills for example keys, transposing instruments and learn to transpose through exercises along with the ability to work on entire piano reductions from different epochs. The course provides basic knowledge of goals and methods of music education in historical and current dimensions as well as fundamentals of developing and presenting music-cultural topics with basic skills in order to subject practically-oriented content to a scientific-theoretical reflection.
