Offered by the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, the study program “Bachelor of Music in Composition” is with a total length of eight semesters. The participants acquire the ability to deal comprehensively with compositions, especially new music and learn about the development of a recognizable personal language of composition with the creation of artistically demanding compositions for different line-ups and the knowledge of the historical development of electronic music including technical aspects as well as analysis methods for the description of compositional principles. Graduates gain the basic practical and theoretical knowledge of the physical and mental basics of making music and evolve their artistic and educational potential.
