Provided by the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart, the degree program “Master of Music in Harpsichord” is with total length of four semesters. The program aims to achieve further artistic development and provides an extension of specific technical and interpretative competence by also including special music theoretical and scientific contents. The participants gain the advanced knowledge and practical implementation of the sources for figured bass of the three national styles France, Germany and Italy by exploring the development of a chamber music program, design and organization of rehearsals. The “Master of Music in Harpsichord” teaches how to professionally present important music-cultural topics while the prospective students acquire basic skills to the subject practically-oriented content with a scientific-theoretical reflection.
