“Bachelor of Music in Piano” is offered by the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart with a total length of eight semesters. During their study, participants obtain knowledge of the functional analysis of simple pieces and learn to improvise after submitting the analyzed pieces. The course also provides knowledge about the development of accompanying patterns for songs, blues, development of standard accompaniment patterns for jazz, pop, rock while the prospective students gain the ability to deal independently with aspects of the social contextualization of music with extended knowledge of composition techniques in New Music, demonstrated by exercises in different line-ups.
