The study course “Master of Music in Music Theory” is with a total length of four semesters and provided by the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. Primarily oriented towards providing to the participants the necessary artistic pedagogical development and specific scientific skills, graduates learn how to successfully present, convey and discuss research projects and results with the experience in implementation of directing instructions in connection with improvisational self-creativity. “Master of Music in Music Theory” explores in-depth the history of the art song at a glance, genres and style elements of the song, basic aesthetic lyrics while providing an introduction to the interaction between poetry and music with fundamental knowledge of musical rhetoric and semantics.
