Provided by the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart the “Master of Music in New Music” is with a total length of four semesters. The course provides instrumental and vocal specialization in New Music by exploring in-depth the performance practice and the interpretation of new music in the broadest sense. Graduates expand their knowledge and skills in the sub-areas of playing techniques, analysis, listening, interpretation, project development, movement, voice, representation, media, communication and more. During the course, the participants will be able to learn how to differentiate between listening and implementing complex rhythms in works of new music and obtain practical mastery of the basics of performing new music in terms of composition, notation, instrumental, conducting, rehearsal and aural technique.
