The study course “Master of Music in Piano Improvisation”, combining historic and contemporary styles, is with a duration of four semesters and provided by the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. The degree program enables the pianists to improvise in a wide range of solo styles such as the baroque, classical, romantic, impressionistic and to develop chamber improvisations and interdisciplinary collaborations with performing artists in other fields. During the study the participants in the “Master of Music in Piano Improvisation” degree gain the ability to work out improvisations in different historical and contemporary languages.
