Description
With a duration of eight semesters, the “Bachelor of Music in Recorder” is provided by the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. Throughout the course, the participants obtain experience in the performance conditions of larger choir and orchestral works along with elaboration of works from different epochs and genres with different technical and musical requirements including both chamber music and literature. The “Bachelor of Music in Recorder” imparts the knowledge of working techniques and methods of musicological work as well as the various sub-areas of musicology while providing to participants strong basic skills in listening and representing melody and rhythm as well as structured listening and describing style-specific characteristics of music. Students obtain comprehension of analytical methods in order to be able to describe formal and compositional principles, including interpretative issues, discussion of specific aesthetic positions and more.
