The “Bachelor of Theology” program at STH Basel is taught entirely in German over the course of 3 years. It intends to give students the opportunity to pursue a profession in the field of religious education. The course curriculum includes Historical Theology, Systematic Theology, Philosophy, Religious and Mission Studies in addition to the languages Hebrew, Greek and Latin. This bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite towards entering the master’s degree and pursuing a career in the field. The admission requirements include a C1 language proficiency certificate in German, a Swiss or Austrian Matura, a German Abitur or an equivalent previous education qualification.
