The degree program “Master of Science in Material Science and Engineering” offered by the Technical University of Berlin provides a full-time course with a duration of four semesters. The program will help students to gain expertise knowledge in material science and also to develop comprehensive engineering skills. Depending on their interests students may specialize in process technologies of materials and material aspects of construction or in different material groups. Some of the main modules taught are composite materials, polymer materials, recycling technologies, engineering and others. Furthermore, students are required to complete an industrial internship with a duration of at least six weeks. After graduation participants will be able to start work in different areas such as research and development, production, material engineering and others.
