With a length of six semesters the “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Art (Primary School)” is offered by the Technical University of Dortmund. The study of art is divided into three areas of work. This includes artistic work, art history or image science and art didactics. During their study, participants acquire the ability to plan and carry out art lessons at schools between theory and practice. Furthermore, students become familiar with the teaching processes specific to school forms. They apply the basic knowledge of art history and image science appropriately and acquire basic competencies in artistic design skills.
