With a length of four semesters the degree program “Master of Education for Teacher Training in Art (Secondary Schools, Grammar Schools & Comprehensive Schools, Primary Schools, Special Education, Vocational Colleges)” is provided by the Technical University of Dortmund. Students master the abilities to conduct art lessons in schools and learn to reflect on art didactic discourses. The course enhances the comprehension in numerous fields. They are particularly artistic work, art history and visual studies. As this is a teacher training course, the focus also falls on expanding the art didactics abilities. Participants learn to apply the acquired knowledge of the art history subject while training their skills in artistic design.
