With a duration of six semesters the degree program “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Art (Vocational Schools)” is provided by the Technical University of Dortmund. This course possesses a presence in the public sphere through exhibitions, publication series, colloquia and lectures. Specifically, it is designed to lead to a Master's degree in teaching. With its orientation towards the training of art teachers, it has five university professorships. Those are sculpture and intermodal work, drawing and printmaking, painting, art history/image science as well as art didactics. Students of this course acquire both theoretical and practical abilities in order to professionally organize and carry out art lessons at schools.
