Offered by the Technical University of Dortmund the study course “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Catholic Theology (Primary School)" is with a duration of six semesters. Students will be well-prepared for the future teaching of Catholic religious education with the interlinked subject-specific scientific and subject-specific didactic principles. The program trains students to deal argumentatively with the texts, contexts, traditional forms and formulas of theology as well as the history of theology. Participants acquire the ability to develop scientifically valid questions, to select and apply research methods in a well-founded manner as well as to produce results that are already relevant and perceptible to the environment.
