“Bachelor of Science in Chemical Biology” is provided by the Technical University of Dortmund with duration of six semesters. The interdisciplinary program imparts broad range of fundamental knowledge in general, analytical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry while including bio-inorganic and biophysical chemistry, bio-organic chemistry, cell biology and microbiology, mathematics and physics with methods of structure determination. Accompanied by laboratory internships, the focus primarily falls on the examination of chemical processes in biological systems which qualifies participants for various fields of activity such as in fundamental research, development of biosensors, biotechnological products, diagnostic methods or in areas of product management, clinical studies, quality management, analytics, sales, marketing, intellectual property and more.
