With a length of six semesters the program “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Chemistry (Special Education)” is provided by the Technical University of Dortmund. The teacher training course is structured into a Bachelor's and a Master's degree program. The subject matter and didactic content of chemistry are combined. In this course, students study the sub-disciplines of chemistry, which are specifically organic, inorganic, physical chemistry. Participants apply them in laboratory experiments. Apart from those, the program also explores biology and physics fundamentals and objectives in seminars, lectures and the above mentioned practice experiments. Students are able to acquire core skills such as the independently learning, generating subject-didactical and subject-specific content.
