The six-semester program “Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering” is offered by the Technical University of Dortmund. Geared towards the mathematical and mechanical fundamentals, support structures and material-specific dimensioning as well as principles of support structure planning, the program examines important components. For example, such as the special features of construction production, basics of costing and calculation, basics of scheduling and work preparation as well as the special features of accounting in the construction and real estate industry. Students expand and deepen their understanding of the concepts of multidimensional differential and integral calculus while acquiring fundamentalcomprehension of the methods of probability calculus and statistics. The course also trains how to solve concrete problemsfrom engineering practice and apply the appropriate methods in order to arrive at goal-oriented and statistically sound solutions to problems.
