Offered by the Technical University of Dortmund the six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Science in Computer Science” conveys solid methodological knowledge. By imparting solid methodological knowledge, students obtain comprehension in the areas of systems, hardware, software as well as formal fundamentals and are able to learn how to develop software. The course provides an understanding of database, computer networks along with the computer architectures and distributed systems while also enrolls mathematics theoretical fundamentals in order to find solutions of practical problems. In addition to the classical logical systems of propositional logic and predicate logic, students also learn about newer logical systems that are used in computer science, such as modal logic and temporal logic along with model-based software development tools. Furthermore, the program integrates a comprehensive overview of the basic techniques of embedded systems, their specification languages, terminology and characteristic properties.
