With a duration of six semesters the program “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in English (General Schools, Intermediate Schools and Comprehensive Schools)” is provided by the Technical University of Dortmund. The course conveys content in the fields of American studies, British literature and culture. Participants combine this with studies in English didactics and language practice with numerous elective available in the curriculum. A special emphasis is placed upon international exchange relations and the course is entirely taught in English. Students of this teacher training are required to spend at least twelve weeks abroad in an English-speaking country with many opportunities available.
