Provided by the Technical University of Dortmund the study course “Master of Arts for Teacher Training in Basic Language Education (Special Education)” is with a length of four semesters. The curriculum of this course includes two sequenced modules that introduce students to literary studies and linguistics. Those modules are “Fundamentals of Linguistics", “Linguistic Functions and Abilities” where the focus primarily falls on the language acquisition. Furthermore, the course includes "Fundamentals of Literary Studies", "Literary and Media Analysis". The module "Literature and Language in Society" consist of basic didactical topics with the educational context of language and literature. Apart from that, the course explores the diversity, otherness as well as gender in language, media and text.
