Provided by the Technical University of Dortmund the degree program “Bachelor of Science in Mathematics” is with a duration of six semesters. The study course conveys fundamental knowledge in mathematics along with methods in linear algebra and analysis. Furthermore, students are able to acquire elements from stochastic, algebra as well as numeric with included specific knowledge in numerous fields while learning how to abstract, analyze and identify basic mathematical relationships in different areas. During their study, participants obtain both methodological and technical comprehension in order to be able to describe and analyze problems with the help of partial differential equations, master the basic terms and form an understanding of the geometric meaning of the basic concepts and methods of elementary differential geometry. The course imparts the function analysis as well as the ability to apply them in various concrete situations in analysis and applied mathematics and more.
