“Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Mathematics (General Schools, Intermediate Schools and Comprehensive Schools)” is with a length of six semesters provided by the Technical University of Dortmund. The course includes the elementary mathematical areas of arithmetic, geometry, stochastic, algebra and others with a focus on the didactics. Students of this course deal with the essential didactic theories in order to acquire a basis for the students’ processes in learning. Participants are taught how to evaluate and adequately present mathematical didactics with key understanding of teaching mathematics. Furthermore, students will be able to deepen their comprehension on main teaching topics. The course encourages attending the preliminary course in mathematics for those who want to become teachers at grammar schools or vocational colleges.
