With a length of four semesters the program “Master of Education for Teacher Training in Mathematics (General Schools, Intermediate Schools and Comprehensive Schools)” is offered by the Technical University of Dortmund. In order to provide participants with the essential abilities for attendance and analysis of their students' learning processes, this course imparts didactic modules. They are concerned with key mathematics didactic theories and concepts. Apart from that, the didactical-oriented modules address the foundation for professional planning as well as action. The course introduces to central educational content, potential methods for specific difficulties while teaching participants to assess the results of mathematics didactics and to use them for their first decision-making models for actual learning situations.
