With a duration of six semesters the study course “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Mathematics (Vocational Schools)” is offered by the Technical University of Dortmund. The program starts with studying linear algebra and calculus. Furthermore, it examines the elementary mathematics areas. This includes analysis, stochastic, algebra and geometry with a solid scientific focus. With various emphasizes, this teacher training course aims to establish a content-based and versatile approaches to the mathematical structures. Students obtain a didactically sound grasp of mathematics and learn to deepen it on the background of core teaching topics, apply it and reflected upon in experiments.
