Provided by the Technical University of Dortmund the “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Mechanical Engineering (Vocational Schools)” is with a length of six semesters. The course is intended to prepare students for a Master's degree. Imparted subject areas are, for example machine elements and manufacturing theory, materials technology, mathematics, technical drawing as well as mechanics. The subject didactic parts are based on the principles of engineering didactic education. Thereby, subject didactic and educational theories and scientific methods are taught in a practical way as a foundation for pedagogical and didactic behavior. Apart from didactic and educational basis, the course prepares for interdisciplinary courses and a variety of occupational fields.
