With a length of six semesters the study course “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Music (General Schools, Intermediate Schools and Comprehensive Schools)” is provided by the Technical University of Dortmund. The program is customized according to all school profiles. The focus falls on four areas of instrumental and vocal practice, music theory, composition/setting and arrangement, musicology as well as music pedagogy/ didactics of music. In order to enter the teaching profession, students are encouraged to pursue with a Master’s degree alongside the teacher traineeship. Graduates are able to receive adequate advices on their career choice.
