Provided by the Technical University of Dortmund the study course “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Music (Vocational Schools)” is with a length of six semesters. The program offers the optimal facilities for a well-founded, practically-based teacher training as well as for music pedagogical academic research. This Bachelor's degree in teaching leads to a Master's degree in teaching. Combined with the successful completion of the traineeship as well, it is the requirement for the teaching profession. Specifically, the course is parted into four areas. Participants acquire strong competences in instrumental and vocal practice, music theory, composition/setting and arrangement, musicology and music pedagogy with didactics of music.
