The study course “Master of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science” is offered by the Technical University of Dortmund with a duration of four semesters. Apart from team teaching the course provides the opportunity to work closely together in particularly small groups where participantsreceive individual support and supervision. Throughout the program, participants have the chance to draft and analyze research questions in project groups with new insights in the process while furthermore, the course includes the ability to conceptualize ethical-moral and political issuesin the relevant terminology in order to understand them in their historical context.Prospective students tackle social problems from an interdisciplinary approach and learn how to recognize thedifferent political systems, typify them and question their legitimacy. Along with basic knowledge of the history of philosophy and the competence to apply philosophical and political science approaches in concrete applications, participants will also expand their analytical skills in dealing with classical and texts and acquire in-depth knowledge in central areas of philosophy.
