Provided by the Technical University of Dortmund the study course “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Philosophy (Grammar Schools and Comprehensive Schools)” is with a length of six semesters. Participants of this program meet with the traditional approaches relating to the demanding issues and texts of philosophy. Especially those include the necessary methods of argumentation and interpretation followed by the exploration of scientific solutions. This teacher training course enables students to obtain a solid overview of philosophy in a justified form. They not only learn to identify fundamental scientific and methodological problems, but also become well-prepared for a Master’s degree program. Upon successful completion of this Bachelor’s degree, graduates obtain a first qualification.
