Offered by the Technical University of Dortmund the degree program “Bachelor of Arts for teacher training in Physical Education (General Schools, Intermediate Schools and Comprehensive Schools)” is with a length of six semesters. The course consists of interrelated modules. These focus on theory and practice of movement and sport areas, sports science fields of activity, studies in school and extracurricular professional fields. Supplemented by a variety of organizational forms and a methodological concept, the program also includes internships in various school and non-school professional fields of sports followed by courses. Graduates are able to follow up the necessary requirement for taking up the teaching profession by completing the Master’s degree along with the teacher traineeship.
