With a duration of six semesters the study course “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Physics (Grammar Schools and Comprehensive Schools)” is offered by the Technical University of Dortmund. At the beginning of the program, the fundamental training in physics comprises content-based modules. Specifically they focus towards the experimental and theoretical physics while furthermore, the course is followed up by an advanced physics module. This teacher training is continued with the necessary didactical study elements widened with mediation-oriented competences. The objective of this course is geared towards providing graduates with the obligatory methods know-how and subject didactics of physics.
