Offered by the Technical University of Dortmund the study program “Bachelor of Arts for Teacher Training in Linguistic Basic Education (Special Education)” is with a duration of six semesters. Students will be firstly introduced to linguistics and literary studies. They will be dived into the linguistic functions and skills and basics of linguistics. The course examines the language acquisition as well as the language variations, both spoken and written. They are followed by literature and media analysis, where the focus falls on the methodological analytical tools, youth children’s literature and genres. Furthermore, participants will explore literature and language in society. The degree program is geared towards an educational-oriented content and provides basic didactic topics. It can be studied for teaching position in primary schools or for a teaching position for special needs education.
