With a length of four semesters the degree program “Master of Science in Statistics” is provided by the Technical University of Dortmund. During the course, the comprehension of mathematical statistics is deepened through compulsory elective courses in various special fields such as nonparametric methods, robust statistical methods, econometrics as well as clinical studies while in addition to dealing with essential statistical procedures, the course also integrates independent work through numerous projects. The program is geared towards providing with specialist knowledge, methods and skills in order to enable for scientific work and critical classification of the scientific knowledge. By successfully completing their Master degree, graduates will be able to specialize, for example in management consulting, software development, market or in banking and insurance, marketing and quality control for large and small companies.
