The study program “Primary School Teacher Training” is with a duration of six semesters provided by the Technical University of Dortmund. The teacher training course comprises the learning areas of mathematical basic education, linguistic basic education as well as another freely selectable subject and the interdisciplinary course content.The main focus of the program falls on imparting basic knowledge and forms the foundation for secondary schools. During their study, participants will be able to acquire knowledge in the areas of arithmetic, algebra and functions, stochastics as well as geometry with direct school relevance or direct didactic references along with modules that introduce linguistics and literary studies for instance “Linguistic functions and skills”.
