“Bachelor of Science in Technomathematics” is offered by the Technical University of Dortmund with a duration of six semesters. By providing introductory software courses, the program also includes numeric and optimization in order to prepare students for further topics in the scientific computing and mathematical model building. Throughout the study, the ability to implement technical programs in work groups and make effective presentations is acquired while participants deepen the basic knowledge of the structure of mathematics, obtain competence of the basic concepts and methods of dynamic systems, master the basic terms and form an understanding of their dynamic meaning. The program integrates comprehension in illustrative examples from different areas and teaches how to successfully examine and describe those using methods of dynamic systems along with the potential to recognize the connections between abstract mathematical theories and concrete examples.
