The program “Master of Engineering in Geoengineering and Post-Mining” offered by TH Georg Agricola University of Applied Sciences provides a training for engineers that deal with the diverse processes of mine closure and post-mining reconstruction. At the intersection of mining – mark – separation/ surveying – geotechnical engineering, the curriculum blends scientific and technical skills. The course of studies is modular designed. Through the basic modules student learn about mine surveying, rock mechanics and mining damage, corporate management in the technical environment and etc. There are available elective modules, such as numerical modelling and risk management and monitoring. in the framework of the research-oriented modules, there are practical phase and field visit. At the end students write Master`s thesis. Graduates can work in companies in mining, foundation engineering and special civil engineering, drilling and tunnelling companies etc.
