Description
The program “Bachelor of Engineering in Raw Materials Engineering and Sustainable Resource Management” offered by TH Georg Agricola University of Applied Sciences concerns itself with the raw materials extraction, their subsequent processing, and the refining of the goods, with two primary fields of research in stone and earth, and civil engineering. The TH Georg Agricola University of Applied Sciences is the only university in Germany to provide a major in stone and earth sciences. Therefore, graduates from this major are in high demand in the stone and earth industry, and the number of positions available has long outpaced the number of graduates. Moreover, the major`s orientation enables it to be globally focused. The program`s focal point is set on the processing and refining of stone and earth products. Part of the practice-oriented training are also quality assurance and building materials technology. Students gain knowledge in both majors, in a very application-oriented course of studies that includes practical work experiences and excursions.
