The program “Bachelor of Engineering in Surveying” offered by TH Georg Agricola University of Applied Sciences prepares students for the position`s tasks of surveyors. As a surveyor, person should keep a geodata record using the newest technology such as electronical total stations, laser scanners, photogrammetric methods and etc. With the aid of geoinformation systems and web services, the analysis data is evaluated with advanced software, recorded and displayed. The curriculum is modular structured. It is compound of general modules, modules in surveying and elective modules in engineering surveying. Graduates can work in the private sector or in public authorities and municipalities, such as city surveying and cadastral offices, water and shipping offices or in environmental agencies.
