Description
The study program “Master of Science in Chemistry” at the University of Kaiserslautern focuses on chemical and biological systems at both molecular and nanoscale level, covering advanced courses and projects within the key disciplines of chemistry. The course of studies provides students with in-depth knowledge of the design of advanced materials – both at theoretical and experimental level—through modules relating to biochemistry and toxicology. Participants will also have the chance to select their elective subjects from the fields of food and safety or consumer protection. Through the degree program, students will gain the necessary qualifications for engaging in research and development activities within both academic and industrial frameworks. Graduates of Chemistry will have the chance to work for associations of the chemical industry, at universities or other scientific institutes. Among the opportunities are also positions in management consultancies or environmental offices, as well as in the water industry. Apart from that, they can build a career in journalism.
