The double degree program “European Master of Science in Software Engineering” is an Erasmus Mundus joint course of studies, entirely taught in English, coordinated by the faculties of Computer Science of the University of Kaiserslautern, as well as three other universities in Europe, including Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy), University of Oulu (Finland), and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain). During the course of studies, participants will gain a solid knowledge to be applied as managers in software companies or IT specialist or applied researchers in academia. The degree program covers a range of topics, including software process management, software design and quality, as well as global software development and embedded systems. The international dimension of the Master’s course guarantees that students familiarize with different educational methods and multi-culture. A successful student will be able to analyze and solve problems in software engineering of several different levels of complexity with specific focus on empirical investigation. Upon successful completion of the curriculum and fulfillment of the degree course requirements, students will be awarded a double degree, one for each university they have visited. Graduates from the degree program can work in ICT companies, service and industrial companies, as well as public sector and education organizations. The course of studies provides students with skills for business. Graduates can easily find employment in one of two countries they have studied in or anywhere else in the European Union.
