The study program “Master of Science in Financial Engineering” at the University of Kaiserslautern provides students with advanced qualifications in finance, covering topics ranging from the management of financial portfolios to risk analysis in financial markets. The course of studies enables participants to develop and implement solutions in various areas, including product structuring, risk management, quantitative research, as well as quantitative trading and financial information technology. Focusing on both theoretical and quantitative computer-based methods of financial analysis, the degree program provides also an advanced basis in mathematics, oriented towards financial real-life problems. At the end of the study process, students will be able to develop a detailed understanding of various theories and models of finance and economics and their use in measurement and management of risk. Graduates will have competitive advanced qualifications for obtaining senior positions in banks, at the stock exchange, in investment companies, insurance or financial software companies, as well as in government or financial institutions.
