The study program “Master of Arts in Integrative Social Science” at the University of Kaiserslautern is designed to provide students with general education in the social sciences. It is geared to individuals who desire exposure to the variety of theories and methods of social scientists. During the course of studies, participants learn how contemporary societies have developed and how they function, with a focus on the key challenges these societies are confronted with, including globalization and ethno-cultural diversity. The degree program has the aim to train students in gaining an all-round perspective on human behavior and social organization. This course of studies provides students with a route into further academic studies. Many participants go on to take part in a doctoral program before pursuing an academic career. Opportunities in this career path include positions that use research and data to understand and improve society. Graduates of the degree program will have the option to pursue successful careers in social research, as well as in both the public and private sector.
